OPCA Ant ID Seminar

This is a hands-on workshop in a laboratory at Chemeketa Community College in Salem.
LOCATION: Building 8 room 231
The new location for the seminar is in building 8, room 231, which is right in the middle of campus.

We have updated the space for more registrations by adding an additional session in the afternoon. We have 2 more morning slots and 9 more afternoon sessions as of 3/23/2022.
Morning session: Check in 8:00 am, class from 8:30 - 12:30 pm
Afternoon session: check in at 1:00 pm, class from 1:30 - 5:30 pm
ODA recertification credit will be applied for. Attendees will need to complete course application on site. Attendees will have preserved specimens, identification keys, and use of dissection microscopes.
Dr. Laurel Hansen will guide you through the process of using a key to identify a variety of ant specimens. The instruction manual and ant specimens will be yours to keep at the end of the workshop.
ODA Recertification Credit Expected: 4 Hours
Because of the number of microscopes available, space is limited and the class will close when 48 registrations have been received (24 registrations per session).
