Looking Back on the 2026 High Desert Seminar
As Education Committee Chair, I wanted to share a few observations from this year's High Desert Seminar.
Attendance for the business breakout sessions was lower than we had hoped, but the feedback from those who participated was very encouraging. All three business-focused topics appeared to be well received, and the attendees I spoke with shared positive comments about the value of the discussions and information presented.
Several attendees specifically mentioned Joe Hayman's presentation as a standout session and expressed interest in seeing him return to future OPCA educational programs.
While I missed a couple of the technical education sessions while attending the business breakouts, I heard consistently positive feedback about the overall educational program and speaker lineup.
Most importantly, it was great to see both familiar faces and new attendees participating in the event. Those connections, conversations, and shared experiences continue to strengthen our association and industry.
I am excited about the future of OPCA and look forward to building on the momentum from High Desert as we continue to expand educational opportunities for our members.
