8:45 – 9:45 — Controlling Ants with Pesticides (Ryan Neff)
Learn the biology and behavior of key urban ants—Argentine, odorous house, carpenter, and rover ants. Ryan will show how to exploit ant behavior for control, select the right formulations, and apply baits and residuals strategically for long-lasting results.

9:45 – 10:45 — What is Aedes aegypti (Kenny Carver)
Dive into the biology and ecology of this globally important mosquito species. Kenny will highlight surveillance methods, control approaches, and prevention strategies, equipping PMPs with tools to reduce risks associated with this vector.

10:45 – 11:00 — Break & Vendor Booths

11:00 – 12:00 — Beyond the Active Ingredient: The Science Behind Pesticide Formulations (Alea Pedroza, Envu)
Go deeper than the label. Alea will explain how different formulations—granules, dusts, aerosols, baits, and sprays—perform in real-world environments. Learn how formulation choice impacts efficacy, safety, and sustainability in pest management.

1:00 – 2:00 — Understanding and Treating Norway Rat Burrows (Jonathan Paulsen, Liphatech)
Norway rat burrows hold the secrets to effective control. Jonathan will cover colony structure, burrow design, conducive conditions, and evidence-based IPM strategies. He’ll also review safe label-compliant treatments, including trapping and alternative methods like CO₂.

2:00 – 2:15 — Break & Vendor Booths

2:15 – 3:15 — Overcoming Resistance in Roaches (Larsten Hanson)
Cockroach infestations are growing tougher. Larsten will explain identification, lifecycle, and the role of cockroaches as vectors, then tackle resistance and aversion. Learn to read glue boards, rotate modes of action, and deploy IPM strategies that overcome genetic and behavioral hurdles.

3:15 – 4:15 — Professionalism and Inspections (Ray Vanderlouw)
Inspections are the foundation of pest management. Ray will cover key professional practices, micro-environments, and how to communicate findings effectively. Take away inspection tips that improve service quality, customer trust, and regulatory compliance.

4:15 – 4:30 — Wrap-Up & Door Prizes
