OPCA Fall Beach Fishing Info

Yaquina bay Charters, Newport

Registration: RSVP on the registration form, but pay in advance directly to Yaquina Bay Charters. The boat will be reserved depending on interest (either 16 or 24 people).

Arrive: 6:30 am (a bit earlier if you need to buy a fishing license or fill out the waiver). The boat leaves as soon as everyone arrives and gets checked in 7:00 am and returns around noon. 

Fishing target: Bottom Fish

Licenses: Anglers are responsible for purchasing applicable fishing/shellfish licenses prior to their trip. You can purchase license online at https://myodfw.com. Also, crabbers, you will need shellfish licenses. You can also purchase them from any Walmart, Bi-Mart or Fred Meyer in Oregon.

Biggest Fish Contest: Win a prize for catching the biggest fish (and smallest).

What to bring:

Lunch

Drinks

Warm clothes/rain gear

Closed toed shoes

Cash for fillet services

Cooler to take your catch home with you

Fishing and shellfish license

You are welcome to bring a small to medium sized cooler for food and drinks

Please do not bring:

Glass bottles

Sun flower seeds

Hard alcohol

Drugs (including marijuana).
