OPCA
OPCA Represents Oregon at NPMA Legislative Day in Washington, D.C.
Advocating for our industry and strengthening relationships with policymakers.
OPCA was proud to participate in NPMA Legislative Day in Washington, D.C., joining pest management professionals from across the country to advocate for our industry and engage directly with federal lawmakers.
Legislative Day provides a critical opportunity for industry professionals to share real-world insights with policymakers and reinforce the essential role pest management plays in protecting public health, food safety, and our communities. Open communication with lawmakers ensures they understand the importance of maintaining access to tools and policies that allow our industry to operate effectively and responsibly.
Representing OPCA at this year’s event were Steve Wittig, Cameron Yamaura, Samantha Malone, and Billy Olesen. Together, they met with legislators and staff to discuss key issues impacting the industry.
Throughout the event, OPCA connected with fellow pest management professionals, manufacturers, and distributors from across the country. Conversations focused heavily on the Farm Bill and the importance of federal preemption — a critical component in maintaining consistent and science-based pesticide regulations.
Participation in Legislative Day reinforces OPCA’s commitment to advocacy and ensures that the voices of Oregon pest management professionals are heard at the national level.
Thank you to all who continue to engage in these important conversations and help protect the future of our industry.
