About the Oregon Pest Control Association

Founded in September 1981, the Oregon Pest Control Association (OPCA) is a member-driven organization representing pest control professionals, home inspectors, wildlife operators, and industry partners across the State of Oregon. For more than four decades, OPCA has brought professionals together to strengthen the industry, protect the public, and promote high standards of service, ethics, and environmental responsibility.

OPCA exists to unite pest management professionals working toward a common goal: protecting health, property, food, and the environment. Through education, advocacy, and collaboration, we work to advance our industry, support our members, and ensure consumers can confidently connect with trusted, qualified professionals.

Our Mission & Purpose

OPCA represents pest control professionals within Oregon who are committed to working together—sharing knowledge, developing solutions that benefit the industry as a whole, and forging new paths as our profession evolves.

We are dedicated to:

  • Promoting professionalism and ethical business practices
  • Providing high-quality education and technical training
  • Advocating for science-based, practical policies at the state and national level
  • Fostering cooperation among professionals, regulators, and the communities we serve

Through these efforts, OPCA helps ensure the pest management industry remains strong, credible, and prepared for the challenges of today and tomorrow.

Membership & Getting Involved

OPCA is a member-driven association built on participation, collaboration, and shared commitment to the pest management profession. Membership provides opportunities to connect with peers, stay informed on industry issues, and contribute to the continued advancement of pest control in Oregon.

Members are encouraged to get involved in ways that align with their interests and experience. This may include attending technical sessions and events, participating in discussions on industry trends, or volunteering time and expertise to support OPCA initiatives. Getting involved helps strengthen professional relationships, expand industry knowledge, and ensure OPCA remains responsive to the needs of its members and the communities they serve.

Whether you are new to the industry or a seasoned professional, OPCA offers meaningful ways to stay engaged, informed, and connected.

Advocacy & Industry Representation

OPCA actively represents the pest management industry at both the state and national levels. As a member of Oregonians for Food and Shelter and in partnership with the National Pest Management Association, OPCA works to educate policymakers, regulators, and the public on issues impacting pest control professionals and consumers.

Through advocacy and grassroots engagement, OPCA helps ensure that decisions affecting pest management are informed by science, practical experience, and a clear understanding of the role professionals play in protecting public health, property, food systems, and the environment.

Make a Difference with OPCA

OPCA thrives because members choose to participate, share their perspectives, and invest in the future of the industry. Whether through membership, event participation, or involvement in OPCA initiatives, your engagement helps strengthen the association and the profession as a whole.
