Member Info
Membership in the Oregon Pest Control Association (OPCA) connects professionals across the pest management industry who are committed to education, collaboration, and advancing the standards of our profession. OPCA members represent pest management companies, home inspectors, suppliers, and industry partners working together to support professional pest management throughout Oregon.
By joining OPCA, members gain access to educational programming, industry updates, professional connections, and advocacy efforts that help strengthen and protect the pest management industry.
Types of Membership
OPCA offers several membership categories to serve different segments of the industry.
Active Membership
Active Membership is available to firms licensed in Oregon to perform pest control services or wildlife control operations directly for consumers. Active Members hold voting rights within the association and are eligible to serve as officers or on the Board of Directors.
Active Membership includes two participation options depending on a company’s headquarters location:
- Oregon-Headquartered Firms
Companies headquartered in Oregon participate through joint membership with the National Pest Management Association (NPMA). This joint structure provides access to both state and national industry resources, advocacy, and professional development tools. - Firms Headquartered Outside Oregon
Companies whose headquarters are located outside of Oregon may also join OPCA as Active Members. These firms often maintain NPMA membership through their corporate headquarters while participating in OPCA to stay connected with Oregon’s regulatory environment, education programs, and professional network.
Associate Membership
Associate membership is available to companies licensed to perform home inspections in Oregon. Associate Members can participate in OPCA activities and events but do not hold voting privileges.
Allied Membership
Allied Members include manufacturers, distributors, suppliers, and service providers that support the pest management industry. These members play an important role in supporting education, innovation, and industry collaboration.
What It Means to Be an OPCA Member
OPCA membership represents a commitment to professionalism, ethical business practices, and ongoing education. Members support the mission of the association and work together to advance the pest management industry through collaboration, responsible pest management practices, and engagement with regulators and policymakers.
Members also benefit from opportunities to participate in committees, attend educational events, and contribute to the direction of the association through leadership and volunteer involvement.

Membership Dues Information
OPCA membership dues may be deductible as a business expense, although they are not deductible as a charitable contribution. Because OPCA engages in industry advocacy and lobbying, a portion of dues is not deductible.
Current deductible portions include:
- OPCA dues: 88% deductible
- NPMA dues: 94% deductible for Active Members
Members are encouraged to consult their tax professional regarding the deductibility of membership dues.
