WSDA Continues Yellow-Legged Hornet Surveillance
Vancouver, Washington
Current status: No additional yellow-legged hornets have been detected.
The Washington State Department of Agriculture (WSDA) continues to survey the Vancouver area following the interception of a live yellow-legged hornet (Vespa velutina) in May.
WSDA is asking the public to remain alert and report possible sightings. Pest management professionals and other industry stakeholders can play an important role in helping protect Washington from this invasive species.
