OPCA May Board Meeting: Membership Growth, Sponsorship Challenges & Upcoming Events
The OPCA Board met on May 20 to review financials, High Desert planning, sponsorship challenges, membership growth, and proposed bylaw revisions. Registration and sponsorship numbers for High Desert remain lower than anticipated, though the event is expected to move forward successfully. The board discussed future leadership transitions, investment opportunities for reserve funds, ongoing legislative issues, and continued improvements to OPCA’s website, communications, and membership outreach efforts.

OPCA Fall Beach Seminar 2026 Registration Now Open
Registration is now open for the OPCA Fall Beach Seminar, September 10–12, 2026, in Newport, Oregon. This year’s event will be held at a new location — the Best Western Plus. Join us for technical sessions, networking, golf, and optional deep sea fishing. CEUs will be applied in Washington and Oregon. Fishing boat seating is very limited, and hotel rooms are expected to fill quickly, so early registration is encouraged.

High Desert Seminar Returns with Strong Technical Education, Business Strategy & Industry Networking
The 2026 OPCA High Desert Seminar returns June 4–5 at Eagle Crest Resort in Redmond, Oregon. This year’s event features technical sessions on innovation, rodent management, small flies, 25(b) products, and the history of pest control, alongside business breakouts focused on AI, staffing, and technician sales development. Attendees can also enjoy the Brandi Ham Memorial Golf Tournament, $20,000 Hole-in-One Challenge, vendor engagement, and the famous Kesecker BBQ reception.
