OPCA Board Advances Events, Membership Growth, and Industry Advocacy

The OPCA Board met on March 18 to plan upcoming events, strengthen membership engagement, and review key industry issues. Registration is now open for all events, with expanded education topics in development. The new website is live, improving member access and event visibility. The board also addressed IP28, confirmed continued support for PPMA, and began efforts to recruit future board members and increase participation across the association.

OPCA Engages Lawmakers at NPMA Legislative Day in Washington, D.C.

OPCA leaders Steve Wittig, Cameron Yamaura, and Samantha Malone participated in NPMA Legislative Day in Washington, D.C., advocating for the pest management industry. The event provided an opportunity to connect with lawmakers and industry partners while discussing key issues including the Farm Bill and federal preemption. Through direct engagement and collaboration, OPCA continues to ensure Oregon’s voice is represented in national policy conversations.

Jesse Gooch Earns NPMA Executive Leadership Program Graduation

OPCA President Jesse Gooch of Kanga Pest Control has graduated from NPMA’s Executive Leadership Program, a prestigious two-year initiative focused on developing future industry leaders. As the first graduate from Oregon, Jesse’s achievement marks a significant milestone for the state. With Cameron Yamaura participating in the next class, OPCA continues to build strong national representation and invest in leadership that will shape the future of pest management.

OPCA Launches New Website to Enhance Member Experience

OPCA has launched a newly updated website designed to provide a more streamlined and user-friendly experience for members. The platform includes improved integration, a members-only news section, an interactive event calendar, and simplified management of company service professionals. Members are encouraged to explore the site and update their profiles. OPCA appreciates the board’s support and investment, as well as members’ patience as everyone adapts to the new system.

PNW Pest Management Conference Delivers Strong Attendance and Meaningful Impact

The Pacific Northwest Pest Management Conference saw outstanding participation in both business and technical sessions. The new conference board delivered a seamless event, honoring the tradition while elevating the experience. Generous auction contributions supported the Norm Ehman Fund and critical regional research. OPCA also held its Winter General Membership Meeting. With beautiful weather and strong camaraderie throughout, the event highlighted both the professionalism and the deep connections within the industry.
