Tick Awareness Week Serves as Pivotal Time to Educate Consumers Ahead of Summer
Tick Awareness Week (May 3–9, 2026) highlights the growing risks of tick-borne illnesses as activity expands nationwide. The Professional Pest Management Alliance encourages pest professionals to educate consumers on prevention, early detection, and when to seek professional help. With nearly 475,000 Lyme disease cases annually, raising awareness is critical. The Alliance also urges companies to share educational content and utilize available marketing resources to support outreach efforts.

Officer positions follow a four-year leadership track, while Members-at-Large serve as key contributors on the Board. Elections will take place at the OPCA High Desert Meeting, June 4–5.
